Amelia Charlotte (Johnson) Gustafson, age 103, of Mankato, died Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.

Funeral services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Erickson officiating. Burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary with one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church.

Amelia was born November 27, 1899 to Charles John and Hedda (Anderson) Johnson in Belgrade Township, Nicollet County. She married Karl Oscar Gustafson on April 18, 1928. Amelia was a homemaker for her husband, Oscar and their son, Einar. They farmed in Belgrade Township for 57 years. After the death of her husband in 1985, she moved to Gus Johnson Plaza.

She was an active member of the Belgrade Swedish Lutheran Church, were she was organist for several years and an active member of the Ladies Aid and the Young Peoples Society. After merging with Grace Lutheran Church, she continued to be active in the Units and a charter member of the 60 and Over Club.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Brian Gustafson and his wife, Angela of Minneapolis, Anne Gustafson of Mankato; three great-grandchildren, Zach, Wyatt, and Trey; nieces, nephews, and a daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, a sister and five brothers.

Amelia will be remembered by the many who loved her for her hospitality, positive attitude, and faith.
