Eleanor Garberg Tronvold, age 88, died Friday morning, September 5, 2003 at Mankato Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Meierding officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donors choice. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Eleanor was born August 8, 1915 in Rapidan Township, Blue Earth County to Louis and Anna (Garberg) Tronvold. She attended Indian Lake Country School and graduated from Rapidan High School and Mankato Teachers College. She worked and helped on the farm and had sold Avon for many years.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she had been confirmed and active with the LCW. She was also a member of Sons of Norway, Norsklaget, and the Sunshine Club. She enjoyed gardening and reading and translating Norwegian.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Tronvold of Mankato; cousins, Eldbjorg Foss, Knut Tronvold, Otto and Anna Tronvoll all of Norway. She was preceded in death by her parents.
