Martha J. Kamradt, age 85, of St. Peter and formerly Madelia, died Sunday, August 17, 2003 at St. Peter Community Health Care Center.
Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Butternut with Rev. Charles Christensen officiating. Burial in St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery in rural Merrill, Iowa. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are being handled by Mankato Mortuary.
Martha was born February 12, 1918 in Merrill, Iowa to Herman C. and Gesina (vonHagel) Kamradt. She was a self-employed cleaning specialist. She was a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Butternut. She enjoyed embroidering, reading and television.
Survivors include two sisters, Emma Larson of Madelia and Bertha Nelson of St. Peter; many nieces and nephews, including Verona and Phil Crowe of Coon Rapids, Valeria and Harold Schroeder of St. Peter, Bette and Lumar Johnson of Lafayette, Pete and Lynda Larson of Maple Lake, Ellen and David Johnston of Hanska, Shirley and Robert Frembgen of Hastings, Dick and Karen Kamradt of Archer, IA, Herman and Candy Kamradt of Spencer, IA, Janet and Larry Petersen and Margaret Larson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, August and Emil, sister, Leona, and five nephews.
