Staff Sergeant Michael T. Kozitza, 36 of Great Falls, MT formerly of Mankato, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 in a motorcycle accident at Sturgis, SD.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, North Mankato, with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Interment with military honors in St. Michael Cemetery, rural Nicollet County. Visitation on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
Michael was born March 2, 1967 in Mankato to David and Renata (Corell) Kozitza. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1985. He was united in marriage to Kimberly L. Schindler on December 26, 1987 in Mankato, MN.
He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in July of 1987 and was presently stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, with the 431st Maintenance Operations Squadron.
Michael enjoyed his family, motorcycling, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Kozitza of Great Falls; three children, Jessica, Melanie and Corey; father, David Kozitza of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; mother and step-father, Renata A. and Keith Walish of Rosemount, MN; brother, Scott Kozitza of Zimmerman, MN; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents and two uncles.
