Kenneth T. Hendershott, age 95 of Mankato died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday at Bethel Baptist Church, with Dr. David Banfield, officiating. Interment in Caramonia Cemetery, Caramonia, MN Visitation on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at church.
Mr. Hendershott was born August 16, 1907 in Carmonia, MN to Frank and Minnie (King) Hendershott. Ken graduated from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He was employed for 33 years for International Harvester in Mankato.
He was united in marriage to Kathleen Cummings on May 30, 1930 in Fountain, MN. and they moved to Mankato in 1937. She died in 1978. He was united in marriage to Pearl Fisher in 1985 in Mankato. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Eagles Club, and the Summit Center. He enjoyed bowling, card playing, fishing and dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Hendershott; daughter-in-law, Frances Hendershott of Willmar; two sisters, Frances Gilbert of Ostrander, MN, Gladys Grebin of Preston, MN; a sister-in-law, Betty Cummings of Rochester; 2 step-sons and their wives, Gary and Pam Lundin , Gordon and Nancy Lundin all of Mankato; a step-daughter and her husband, Patricia and David Kelly of Maplewood; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; four step-granddaughters; four step-grandsons; nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen in 1978; a son, Wayne in 1987; a sister, Lois in 1988; and a granddaughter, Jean in 1992.
