William Francis Bill Meyer, age 78, of Madison Lake, died Monday, July 21, 2003, at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2003, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Marysburg, with Rev.s Richard Colletti and Arulanandam Yavis officiating. Interment will be in Marysburg Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Mankato Mortuary, with an 8:00 p.m. rosary service. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.

Bill was born on October 11, 1924, in Mankato, to Joseph J. and Ellen (Wherely) Meyer. He was a 1943 graduate of Loyola High School in Mankato. Bill married Marian C. Sterner on June 7, 1952, in Winsted. He was employed as a bricklayer for many years. Bill was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Marysburg, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Bricklayers-Masons Union. He enjoyed reading, hunting, and fishing.

Bill is survived by his wife, Marian of Madison Lake; four daughters and their husbands, Monica and Gene Holicky of rural LeCenter , Rose and Terry Krenik of rural LeCenter, Teresa and Steve Baker of rural Madison Lake, and Joann and Steve Jaqua of Mankato; four sons and their wives, Patrick Meyer, Joseph and Becky Meyer, George and Cindy Meyer, all of rural Madison Lake, and Mark Meyer of rural Cleveland; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Schwingle of St. Paul; also nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
