Gordon Edwin Van Loh, age 80, of rural Eagle Lake, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. Karl Voelker, S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Mankato Mortuary, with a 6:30 p.m. rosary service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Gordon was born on June 1, 1923, in Wilton Township, Waseca County, to Bert and Myrtle (Lehmann) Van Loh. He attended country school in his home area. Gordon married Mildred Fox on June 7, 1954, in Mankato. He farmed near Waseca until 1971, when they moved to rural Eagle Lake. Gordon was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, dancing, and collecting toy John Deere tractors. Gordon is survived by his son, William Bill Van Loh and his wife, Jane, of Northfield; daughter, Barbara Mellen and her husband, Gerald, of Eagle Lake; six grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Loeffler and her husband, Alfred, of Rosemount; nieces and nephews; special friend, Charlene Blakesley of Amboy. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mildred in 1999.
