Jeanne Wood

Jeanne H. Wood, 84 of Mankato died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at her home. Memorial services 11:00 a.m. Monday at First Congregational UCC, with Rev. Albert H. Thompson III officiating. Private family interment at Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation one hour before services at church on Monday. In lieu flowers the family prefers memorials to First Congregational UCC or donors choice. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements. Mrs. Wood was born April 7, 1919 to Harvey J. and Eda (Kelly) Pass. She graduated from Mankato High School and Mankato Commercial College. She was united in marriage to Richard Wood on May 26, 1942 in Mankato. She worked as a bookkeeper at Krost-Hardy Plumbing & Heating prior to her marriage. She was bookkeeper for R-W Electric and Key City Electric. She was a member of the First Congregational UCC. She enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, reading, crossword puzzles and hunting for agates. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wood; three children and their spouses, Randy and Rachel Wood, Terry and Larry Engelsrud, Doug and Bev Wood all of Mankato; eight grandchildren, Dick Wood and wife, Angie, Russ Wood and wife, Caroline, Jessie Wood and fianc, Allieu Kaisamba, Brianne Schammel and fianc, Steven Vogt, Eric Engelsrud and wife, Jennifer, Aaron Engelsrud and wife, Jen, Brent Wood and wife, Shanna, Curt Wood; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Pass of Bloomington; a sister, Mary Ryan Des Moines, WA; nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, two sisters, daughter-in-law, Susan.
