Pauline Halvorson, age 98 of Mankato, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Oaklawn Health Care Center.

A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 28, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato, with a visitation from 9 a.m. until the start of the service at the church on Monday. Burial will at Glenwood Cemetery, Mankato. Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Pauline was born on February 2, 1916 to Thomas and Myrtle Matheson in Loraine, North Dakota. Pauline was united in marriage to Curtis Halvorson in Elmore, MN on October 9, 1938. On January 22, 1993, Curtis passed away. She was a long-time employee of Madsen's, later called Randall's. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was involved with the Bethlehem Women of the ELCA Circle. Pauline enjoyed hardanger embroidery, was a life-long Twins fan, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will always be remembered as a good card player.

Pauline is survived by her son, Curtis Jr. (Jackie) Halvorson; two grandchildren, Heather (Troy) Stehr, and Matthew (Sara) Halvorson; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Coby Stehr; and other family and friends.

Pauline is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; son, Thomas Halvorson (1952); and 3 grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrew, and Kristen Halvorson.
