Patricia A. Stierlen, age 68, of Mankato, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at Oaklawn Health Care Center with her family by her side.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Horn, officiating. A visitation will be from 4-7p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary and continue one hour before the service at church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian.

Patricia was born July 9, 1946 to Leslie and Marcella (Fredrickson) Oachs in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1964. On July 30, 1966, Patricia was united in marriage to David Stierlen at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in west Mankato. Patricia worked for Johnson Outdoors for 31 years. She was a member of Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church, Relay for Life, and an Auxiliary Member of American Legion Post 311 for 10 years. Patricia loved baking cakes, especially wedding cakes and making wedding flowers. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, fishing, and attending softball games with her daughter.

Patricia is survived by her husband, David; son, Donald (Carrie); daughter, Pamela (Steve) Ahlvers; grandchildren, David and Kiersten Stierlen, and Tyler and Brandon Ahlvers; siblings, Woody (Dianne) Oachs, Joy (Gary) Wiese, Rick (Donna Plieseis) Oachs, Brad (Barb) Oachs, Delphine (Ted) Hoogenraad, Anne (Fernando) Bobadillo, and Marsh (John) Reasor; sister-in-law, Linda (Russ) Flowers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry; and sisters, Jeanne and Debbie.
