Mary Ellen Heminover, age 64, of Mankato, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at her home.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 10, 2011 at North Mankato Mortuary - NORTHVIEW. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Sunday and will continue one hour before service on Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato.

Mary Ellen was born August 12, 1947 to Melvin and Eileen Rorman in Austin. She graduated from Austin High School in 1965 and from Mankato State University in 1969 with a Master's Degree in English. She was united in marriage to James "Jim" Heminover on August 7, 1971 in Austin. Mary Ellen was a teacher at South Central College, North Mankato until her death. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, teaching, spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren and also at the cabin, and her dogs.

Mary Ellen is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Jared (Stacey) Heminover, Chad (Gena) Heminover, Chris (Adonica) Heminover, and Kaitlyn Heminover and special friend, Jesse; four grandchildren, Cullen, Bryn, Eleanora, and Boston.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and her mother and father-in-law, Lawrence and Olivia Heminover.
