Margaret L. Burt, age 93 of North Mankato died, Monday, October 3, 2011 at Willow Point in North Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and continue one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margaret was born September 30, 1918 to August and Anna (Christiansen) Krummel in Mankato. She attended school at Immanuel Lutheran School in Mankato and on February 2, 1938 was united in marriage to Gilbert Burt in Mankato. Margaret attended church at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and was a B.P.O DOE's Charter Member since 1961. Margaret enjoyed Suduko, sewing, crafts, playing cards and was an avid golfer into her 90's.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Gloria Blakesley of LaCrosse, WI; daughter-in-law, Mary Burt of Mankato, MN; grandchildren, Melody Burt of Mankato, MN; Lynnette Keeney of LaCrosse, WI; Michael Burt of Mankato, MN; Heath Blakesley of LaCrosse, WI; many great-grandchildren; sister, Lona Reed of Mankato, MN; sister-in-law, Joan Krummel; special family members, Margaret Ann (Bob) Scott; Karen (Dennis) Gruis; Helen (Paul) Sammuelson and many other nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; son, David Burt; son-in-law, John Blakesley; brother, Harlan Krummel; sister, Patricia Knoss.
