Dorothy Anne Otto, age 88 of North Mankato, joined her heavenly Father on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Oak Terrace in North Mankato surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 2 " 5 p.m., Sunday at North Mankato Mortuary " NORTHVIEW and continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Dorothy Anne Otto was born August 5, 1923 to William and Ruby (Mann) Turtle in Wendell, MN. She was united in marriage to Arnold Otto on August 5, 1943. She was a homemaker for her family and also worked in the shipping department at Carlson Craft for 15 years.
Dorothy was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for 68 years, and the ladies study guild. She was involved with the rug project at the Summit Center and was a reading mentor at Monroe Elementary. Dorothy enjoyed roller skating, walking, reading and quilting.
Dorothy is survived by her seven children, Kathleen (Thomas) Sieberg of Eagle Lake, Albert (Sandra) Otto of Mankato, Joyce (Ronald) Anderson of Mankato, Pamela Lotton of Burnsville, Arnold (Ellen) Otto of Joliet, IL, Anthony Otto and special friend, Nanette (Wolters) Frost, Andrew Otto and special friend, Connie Jean Williams both of North Mankato; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three brothers, Quentin (Bea) Turtle of Rhode Island, Dennis (Mary Jean) Turtle and Richard (Sharon) Turtle both of Mankato; three sisters, Carmen Heinze of North Mankato, Nancy (Arvin) Rolfs of Brooklyn Center, Joan (John) Yee of Colorado; nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arnold, brother, William, and infant sister, Donna.
