Armand John Timm, age 86, of Mankato died, Monday, September 26, 2011 at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until the time of the 11:00 a.m., service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or School. Mankato Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Armand John Timm was born July 16, 1925 to John and Clara (Saylor) Timm in Kasota Township, LeSueur County. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1942. Following graduation Armand was involved in the family farm. He retired from farming in 1991.

Armand was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. He enjoyed restoring antique farm tractors and family genealogy which he shared with his family.

Armand is survived by his nephews, Robert (Marilyn) Timm of Mankato, Wayne (Rosie) Timm of Kasota; nieces, Barbara (Dan) Fleischer of the Twin Cities, Mary Kay Mackey of Mankato; several grand nieces and nephews.

Armand was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Herbert, Clifford, and Merton.
