James Hendley, age 68, of North Mankato, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, September 19 at North Mankato Mortuary " Northview, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Memorials are preferred to the ALS Association.

James Douglas Hendley was born to Lloyd and Irma (Wagner) Hendley on April 17, 1943 in Mankato. He graduated from Loyola High School and later earned a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota. He married Mary (Scharf) Hendley on January 3, 1969 in Devil's Lake, ND. He owned and operated Hendley's Inc. construction company for many years. James was a member of Holy Rosary. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding ATV, and spending time at the lake.

James is survived by two sons, Greg (Martha) Hendley, Rick Hendley; daughter, Susan (Jon) Campbell; mother, Irma Hendley/Kozitza; two brothers, Steve (Rose) and Mike (Diane) Hendley; sister, Kathy (Arlo) Hurley; many nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 2001; his father, Lloyd Hendley; brother, Pat Hendley.
