Lois L Soltau

Lois Soltau, age 85 of Lake Crystal, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 16, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Lake Crystal. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery.

Lois Lynnette Soltau was born January 18, 1926 to John and Georgia (Backstrom) Erickson in Grand Rapids, MN. She attended school in Big Fork, MN. On June 4, 1944, she married Donald Soltau in Leroy, MN. Lois worked with her husband driving truck for a period of time, and also managed two restaurants in Mapleton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she loved music and singing. Lois enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards and reading.

Lois is survived by 4 children, Carrol Lahs, Judy (Tom) Norby, Lora Honstad, Randy (Tina) Soltau; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Sigler; brother, Art Erickson; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1982, her grandson, Garrett Soltau, and great-grandson, Dawson Reim.
