Erna Meta Radewahn, age 98 of Mankato, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at Laurels Peak in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.

Erna was born October 29, 1912 to Henry and Pauline (Matzke) Kuehn in Rapidan Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder. Erna graduated from Rapidan Consolidated school in 1932 in Rapidan, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Oswald Radewahn on February 3, 1974 at St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church in Mankato.

Erna was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder and current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the church Ladies Auxiliary in Mankato. She was also a longtime member of "Stammtisch" German-American Club.

She is survived by one step-son, Reinhold Radewahn of Germany; three step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; cousins in the US and Germany; and special friend, Ellen Matzke.

Erna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, one in infancy, and step-son.
