James Michael Feit, age 59 of Mankato, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System " Mankato.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 " 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Mankato Mortuary with a prayer service at 7:00 pm that evening. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Wilmont, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

James was born on May 4, 1952 in Adrian, MN to Eugene and Evelyn (Bergin) Feit. He was raised on the family farm near Rushmore, MN. Jim graduated from Worthington High School and Faribault Vocational School. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Willemssen on July 31, 1976. They made their home in the Mankato area. Jim was employed as a copier service technician and later did custodial work at several school districts in the area. He became disabled in 2007 and resided at HSI Torrey Pines in Mankato. Jim had a good sense of humor and a warm smile.

Jim is survived by his wife, Barbara of Mankato; two sons, Scott (Traci) of Eagan and Ted (Sharon) of Tampa, FL; mother, Evelyn of Luverne; brothers, Ronald (Kathy), Larry (Bernie), Lowell (Roni), Dave (Chris), Brad (Deb), and Brian (Linda); sister, Barbara (Robert) Verhey; also aunts, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and his housemates and staff at Torrey Pines.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene; two brothers: an infant Daryl and Steven; and a niece, Bethany.
