Lake Crystal Mortuary

Inez B. Rollings, age 89 of Lake Crystal, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Mayo Health Systems in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August, 20, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Robert Lund officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m., Friday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and continue one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the donor's choice.

Inez B. Rollings was born July 9, 1922 to August and Mathilda (Fritz) Struck in rural St. Peter. She graduated from St. Peter High School. Inez was united in marriage to Eugene Rollings on January 2, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was a homemaker for her family and also a nurse's aid with the Madelia Hospital for 20 years. Inez was very active in Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal where she held several offices. She was also very involved in LWML held many positions including circuit president. Inez also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a 4 - H leader. She was also a member of the Polka Club of America and garden club. Inez enjoyed watching wrestling, Wheel of Fortune, square dancing, gardening, flowers, her family and caring for others. She loved her cat, Scooter

She is survived by three children, Carol (Gorden) Koopmann of Kasota, Janet (Bruce) Smutka of St. Peter, Pastor Deral (Jean) Rollings of Gulf Shores, AL; five grandchildren, Tanya Smutka (Chris) Jorgenson, Miranda Smutka, Josh Smutka, Benjamin Rollings, and Elizabeth Rollings; brother-in-law, Wilbur (Bonnie) Rollings of rural Garden City; sister-in-law, Lu Fleming of Hanska; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Gary, and husband, Eugene.
