Clara E. Lotton, age 98, of Mankato, died August 9, 2011 at Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato with Rev. Peter Nosbush officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m., with a 1:30 p.m., prayer service Sunday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
Clara Lotton was born April 5, 1913 to Lafayette and Agnes (Pearson) Watts in Rapidan Township, Blue Earth County. Clara was united in marriage to Ralph Lotton on April 4, 1933 in Mankato. She worked at Immanuel Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato. She then became a homemaker for her growing family.
Clara was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Holy Rosary CCW. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, and holding the new babies in the family. Clara also enjoyed gardening, sewing and embroidery.
Clara is survived by her four children, Cyril (Joanne) Lotton of St. Peter, Barbara Goettl of Mankato, Viola Miller of Mankato, Lenore (Bernie) Schnobrich of St. Peter; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph in 1963; three grandsons, three sisters, and three brothers.
