Pearl J. Ebel, age 83, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Dr. Scott E. Olson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with North Mankato Mortuary " Northview. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Health System " Mankato Hospice.
Pearl was born on October 10, 1927 in North Mankato. She was the daughter of Edwin and Violet (Peterson) Swenson. Pearl was a graduate of Mankato High School. She was united in marriage to Melvin Ebel on February 12, 1947. Pearl was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato. Pearl enjoyed gardening and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Pearl is survived by her two sons, Lynn Ebel of Boone, IA and Brad Ebel and his special friend, Connie Campbell of Mankato; four grandchildren, Heather Close and her special friend, Steve Martin, Jeff (Becky) Ebel, Brian Ebel, and Libby (Roger) Hayes; five great-grandchildren, Alexa, Shawn, Traden, Seth, and Seeley; also former daughter-in-law, Sheila Ebel of Brooklyn Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mel.
