Edmund Jesse

Edmund W. Jesse, age 92 of rural Mankato died Saturday, December 13, 2003, at Mankato Lutheran Home, Mankato.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Rapidan, with Rev. James Holthus officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour before services at church on Tuesday.

Mr. Jesse was born April 18, 1911, in South Bend Township, Blue Earth Co., to Fred and Alma (Geisthardt) Jesse. He was united in marriage to Alice Becker on September 1, 1956 in Rapidan.
Mr. Jesse farmed and did carpentry work. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Rapidan. Edmund enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors.


He is survived by a brother-in-law, Erwin Becker of Hastings; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Becker of Olivia, and Mabel Pruess and her husband, Erwin, of Mankato; six nieces and nephews; and also cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice in 1982, and one sister, Mildred Bartsch.
