Elfrieda Elly Anderson, age 77, of rural Nicollet, died Friday morning, December 12, 2003 at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Rev. Ronald Siemers officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, MVL (Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School) or to an organization of the donors choice.
Elfrieda was born January 26, 1926 in Sanborn to Arthur and Lydia (Baur) Streich. She was a 1944 graduate of Sanborn High School. On June 8, 1957, she married William C. Anderson in North Mankato. Elly was a homemaker for her family and enjoyed letter writing and genealogy. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet.
Survivors include her husband, Will Anderson of rural Nicollet; daughter, Judy Palmquist and her husband, Marlow of North Mankato; son, John C. Anderson and his wife, Terri of rural Lake Crystal; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Jones and her husband, Kenneth of Lake Crystal; two sisters-in-law, Eva Nalezny and her husband, George of Cushing, Elaine Anderson of Mankato; a brother-in-law, Walter Tomschin of Springfield; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
