Charlotte Fenger

Charlotte Ruth Fenger, age 82, died Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at her daughters home in North Mankato. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato with Rev. Charles Vannieuwenhoven officiating. Burial is in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice Program or St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Charlotte was born August 9, 1921 in Mankato to Joseph and Julia Barbara (Lorentz) Robel. During her youth, she worked at her parents confectionary store and was a graduate of Good Counsel High School. On November 7, 1939, she married Gerald Chester Fenger in Mankato. Charlotte was a wife and homemaker for her family.

Charlotte was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and had participated in several card and square dance clubs, and was a member of the Senior Citizens Summit Center.

She will always be remembered by her family as the most wonderful, loving and caring Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. We loved her dearly. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Barb and Mike Fitcher of Faribault, Sharon and Bob Oachs of Tempe, AZ, Kathy and Rick Weber of North Mankato, Deb and Loren Wager of Mankato; a daughter-in-law, Susie Fenger of Denver, CO; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kay Erdahl of Almeda, CA; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and a brother.
