John J. DeVlaeminck, age 45 of rural Mapleton died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at his home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Mankato Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Mary Iverson officiating. Interment at a later date. Visitation on Friday from 4-8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services on Saturday.
John was born August 7, 1958 in Mankato to Henry and Mary (Rewa) DeVlaeminck. He attended Lake Crystal High School. He managed Vaubel Farms for the past 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling.
He is survived by three sons, Jesse of Little Rock, AR, Travis of Rochester, Dylan of Mapleton, one daughter, Denyle of Rochester, one step-daughter, Kylie Williams of Mapleton; mother, Mary DeVlaeminck of Mankato; seven brothers, Henry Mick DeVlaeminck Jr. and wife, Cheryl of Fairfax, Gerald DeVlaeminck of Hartley, IA, David DeVlaeminck and wife, Barbara of Central Point, OR, Melvin DeVlaeminck and wife Debra of Mankato, Dale DeVlaeminck of Mankato, Ervin DeVlaeminck and wife, MaLou of Oronoco, Mark DeVlaeminck and wife, Heidi of Ft. Collins, CO; five sisters, Rosemary Redig and husband, Allan, Roxanne Meiers, Karen Altenburg, Sherry Baker, Terry Young and husband, Stanley all of Mankato; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was loved by Kris and Stephanie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry and a brother, James.
