Marian Schostag, age 80 of Mankato died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, MN
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Clair, with Rev. Daniel Schmidt officiating. Interment in St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, St. Clair. Visitation on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before services at church on Monday. If so desired memorials may be given to St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church or donors choice.
Marian was born September 6, 1923 at home in Mankato Township, Blue Earth Co. to Fredrick and Ida (Frank) Schostag. She graduated from St. Clair High School and attended Mankato Commercial College. She then worked in Minneapolis for several years. Upon returning to Mankato, she was employed at Bretts for 5 years, and then was employed by BENCO, retiring after 33 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Clair.
She is survived by her twin sister, Marie Schostag of Mankato; two nephews and their wives, Larry and Pat Bollmann of Columbia, MO and James and InSuk Bollmann of Mankato and a niece, Judy Bollmann of Robbinsdale; also great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband, Vera and Bill Bollmann and a brother, Walter Schostag.
