Louise V. Peg Wolfe, age 92, of Mankato, died on Monday, November 3, 2003, at Hillcrest Health Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. Karl Voelker, S.J. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Mankato.
Peg was born on October 18, 1911, in Mankato to Marin and Dora (Schimek) Hoeger. She was a 1929 graduate of Good Counsel Academy, where she participated in girls basketball. Peg was united in marriage to Clarence Pib F. Wolfe on September 11, 1937, in Mankato. Over the years, she was employed with Mocols Grocery Store, Chip Steak, Finneys Cleaners, and retired from Midwest Electric. Peg was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Louise is survived by her son, David Wolfe and his wife, Shirley, of Cook, MN; daughter, Mary Lou Ruch of Mankato, MN; five grandchildren, Rick Ruch and wife, Missy of Mapleton, Mike Ruch and wife, Sue of Madison Lake, Dan Wolfe and wife, Janis of Jenkins, Deb Jansen and husband, Chuck of Good Thunder, Tom Wolfe of Mankato; nine great-grandchildren; four nieces and one nephew; and two life-long friends, Gert Meyer and Hon Burns, both of Mankato, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence in 1997; one great-grandson, Kyle Jansen; four sisters and three brothers.
