Agnes Alma Maxa, age 78, of Mankato and formerly of Montgomery, died Wednesday morning, October 15, 2003 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Mankato Mortuary with Pastor Jim Dye officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to American Arthritis Foundation.
Agnes was born May 19, 1925 in LeSueur County to Frank and Rose (Barta) Maxa. She moved to the Mankato area in 1956. She had worked for Green Lunch Counter for four years and Midtex for over 26 years. Agnes was a volunteer since 1974 with the Mass Transit Advisory Committee. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, sewing, baking, and canning. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father in 1941 and her mother in 1990.
Agnes would like to thank all of her friends who enriched her life with friendship and assistance.
