Tamra Marie Stanley, age 48 of North Mankato, died on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Saturday at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Burial will be held at a later date at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. Memorials are preferred to the family.
Tamra was born November 2, 1960 to Robert Eugene and Phyllis Lorraine (DeMars) Wright in Patterson, New Jersey. She graduated from Bridgewater Rartain High School East in Bridgewater, NJ in 1978. Tamra was employed with Cub West Foods as a Pharmacy Technician for eight years and was a professor at Rasmussen College. She was very hard worker who was dedicated to her profession. Tamra was an avid reader, who loved music especially playing the cello, and loved her family who meant the world to her. She was the most giving person.
Tamra is survived by her three sons, David (Megan) Schultz, Jay (Liz) Shupe, II, and J.P. Stanley all of Mankato; mother, Phyllis Mercuro of Waseca; sister, Kimberly Powers of Roselle Park, NJ; two grandchildren, Logan and Lilly; three nephews, Phillip, Johnathan, and Spencer; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tamra was preceded in death by her father, Robert Eugene Wright.
