Elsie S Williams

Elsie S. Fredericksen Williams, age 92, formerly of Lake Crystal, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Owatonna Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Clint Patterson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 at the Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour prior to services on Saturday at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be at Lake Crystal Cemetery.

Elsie Stella was born February 6, 1917 to Nina (Addleman) and Frederick A. Fredericksen on a farm in Lincoln Township, Lake Crystal, MN. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1935 and attended Mankato Beauty School. Elsie married Lester Williams on June 3, 1941. After Lester's discharge from the Army they moved back to Lake Crystal. Elsie owned and operated Elsie's Beauty Shop for 30 years. In 2005, Elsie moved to Park Place in Owatonna to be near her sister Nada and family, but she always considered Lake Crystal her home.

Elsie shared many special times and memories with her sisters Frances (George) McGuire of Litchfield and Nada Wiggins of Owatonna; nieces and nephews, Jean (Ray) Hanson of Rosemount, Dennis (Joan) Fredericksen of Mankato, Douglas (Paula) Fredericksen of Lake Crystal, Larry (Judy) McGuire of Litchfield, Marilyn (Doug) Kronbeck of Red Wing, Kathy (Ken) Johnson of Danube, Fred (Becky) McGuire of St. Cloud, Marsha (Chris) Ball of Anchorage, AK, Jana (Monte) White of Cottage Grove, Diana (John) Vasicek of Vadnais Heights, Laurie Stewart of Owatonna, Jeff (Shari) Wiggins of Minneapolis, Nelson (Joanne) Williams of Burnsville, Bill (Phyliss) Williams of Portland, NY, Joanne Williams of Portland, NY, and Janet (Charlie) Knakmuhs of Lake Crystal; many great nieces and nephews; and all of her Lake Crystal friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Les, parents, infant sister, brother Earle (Marge), and sister Wyelene.
