Elaine J Ruedy

Elaine Jane Ruedy, age 79, of Mankato died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church, Mankato. Burial will be in Woodville Cemetery, Waseca, MN. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Monday.

Elaine was born March 26, 1930 to Arthur and Hilma (Holteen) Worke in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County, MN. She married Donald R. Ruedy on November 18, 1949 at Grace Lutheran Church, Waseca. Elaine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Mankato, VFW Post 950 Auxiliary, American Legion Post 11Auxiliary, and the Mankato Lutheran Home.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Donald of Mankato; son, Duane (Maggie) Ruedy and family of St. Clair; sister, Mavis (Jim) McKinnon of Northfield; nieces, nephews, and other family.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Emery Worke; and sister, Arlene Rooney.
