Michael L Hansen

Michael Lynn Hansen, age 48, of Kasota, died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at his home.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Kasota Hill Cemetery.

Michael was born on February 4, 1961 in Mankato. He was the son of Lynn and Cecile (Putz) Hansen. Michael attended school in St. Peter. He was united in marriage to Barbara Tate on December 10, 1982 in St. Peter. They later divorced. Michael was employed with Hansen Sanitation. He enjoyed gardening, camping, and visiting with family and friends.

Michael is survived by his two daughters, Myranda (Jon VanDamme) of Glencoe and Kasandra Hansen of St. Peter; one son, Erik Hansen of St. Peter; one granddaughter, Emma VanDamme; one brother, Keith (Shawna) Hansen of Kasota; also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pam Hansen.
