Lucille Ann Oman, age 76, of Mankato, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Grace Baptist Church in Mankato, with Rev. Gus Gonnerman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Beauford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to Oak Hill Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Lucille was born on October 7, 1932 on the home farm in Decoria Township. She was the daughter of Claude and Mabel (Shaw) DeRemer. Lucille was united in marriage to Vern Oman on August 17, 1953 in Ohio, IL. They resided in Illinois until moving to Albert Lea and later to Mankato. Lucille was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and flowers.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Vern of Mankato; one brother, Laurence DeRemer of Mapleton; two sisters, Marian Schubbe of Mapleton and Florence Ellis of Pine Island; three nieces, three nephews, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Myrtle Sargeant; two great nephews; one great niece; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
