Judith J Preis

Judith Jane Preis, age 69, of rural Good Thunder died Tuesday June 9, 2009 at her home.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rapidan. Burial will be in Kern's Oak Grove Cemetery, Belgrade Township, Nicollet County, MN. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's research or to the donor's choice.

Judy was born September 30, 1939 in Mankato to Archie and Clara (Enz) Cole. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1957. Judy worked as a secretary at Monroe School in North Mankato from 1958 to 1967. She resided in Belgrade Township until she was united in marriage to Verne C. Preis on November 18, 1961 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rapidan. Judy then spent the majority of her life living on the farm in Blue Earth County. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, feeding the birds and genealogy projects. Judy loved spending time with her family.

Judy is survived by her husband, Verne of Good Thunder; son, Mitchell (Margaret Ko) Preis of Good Thunder; two grandchildren, Matthew and Samuel; one brother, Gene (Leora) Cole of North Mankato; and several very special nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.
