Roger L Larson

Roger LeRoy Larson, age 69, of Mankato, formerly of Hutchinson, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. Services will be held 12:30 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2009 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements are with Mankato Mortuary.

Roger was born on May 18, 1940 to Herman and Elsie (Baseman) Larson in Minneapolis. He attended school in Hutchinson. Roger served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1958 to 1961. He married Mary Malsed on July 16, 1966 in Minneapolis. Roger was employed in construction with various companies. He and Mary moved to Mankato in 1998. Roger enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

Roger is survived by his wife, Mary of Mankato; brothers, Charles (Gloria) Larson of Longville, Bill (Anna) Larson of West Hatfield, MA, and Eugene (Marlene) Larson of Bloomington; sisters, Romayne (Russ) Odegaard of Ankeny, IA and Koyla (Robert) Frasier of St. Cloud; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lawrence and Duane.
