Kay Ann (Terrell) Coopman, age 66, of rural Lake Crystal, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Mortuary on Tuesday.
Kay was born on March 22, 1943 to Ralph and Margaret (Milbrath) Terrell in Mankato. She grew up in Madison Lake and graduated in 1961 from Loyola High School, Mankato. Kay spent over 40 years of her life with Robert and the couple traveled all over the United States. They wintered in Florida for over 25 years. Robert and Kay were united in marriage in 1998. Kay truly embraced life and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Coopman of rural Lake Crystal; son, Jeffrey (Eileen) Coopman; daughters, Judy (Wilson) Hall, Roberta (Dennis) Johnson, and Ramona DeSutter; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Fayette (Harry Jr.) Misner of Webberville, MI, Joan Silbaugh of Rockford, IL, Penny Terrell of Golden Valley, Ralph H. (Carrie) Terrell of Morristown, Margaret Lessick of Dunbar, PA, Elizabeth Terrell of St. Louis Park, Blair Terrell of Waterville, Patrick (Sue) Terrell of Apple Valley, Judith (Robert) O'Malley of Elysian, Timothy (Robin) Terrell of Waseca, Christine Terrell of Faribault, Jeanne (Timothy) Duke of Northfield, Maureen Terrell of Golden Valley; son-in-law, James Anderson; many nieces and nephews.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Anderson; grandson, Benjamin Coopman; granddaughter, Torrie Johnson; one great-niece and one great-nephew.
