John J Davidow

John Joseph Davidow, age 49, of Mankato, died Monday, June 1, 2009 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Steve Kosberg officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

John was born on October 21, 1959 in Freeport, NY. He grew up in Bronx, NY and graduated from East Meadow High School in East Meadow, Long Island, NY. He received a welding degree from Apex Tech in New York City, NY. John was united in marriage to Lora Whitesell on March 31, 1990 in Armstrong, IA. He was employed with Kato Engineering in Mankato. John was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato and enjoyed fishing, archery, working in his shop, and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Lora and their children, William and Mary of Mankato; also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister, Mary Ellen and brother, Thomas.
