Michael J Burger

Michael J. Burger, age 51 of Mankato, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Church of St. Peter. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Peter.

Michael Joseph was born January 20, 1958 to Jerry and Mary (Cheney) Burger in Mankato, MN. He graduated from St. Peter High School in 1976. Michael was in service of his country in the United States Armed Forces for eight years. On December 13, 1983, he was united in marriage to Estela Oroceo in Iloilo City, Phillipines and were blessed with three children, Mark, Michelle, and Melissa.

Michael is survived by his three children: Mark (Latarsha) Burger, Michelle Burger, and Melissa Burger all of Mankato; four sisters: Diane (Evan) Smith of Mankato, Janice (Jim) Reker of Hayward, WI, Carol (Randy) Stevens of Faribault, and Rachel Burger of Mankato; and nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
