Flournoy Marie Seesz

Flournoy M. Seesz, age 83 of Mankato, died Monday, May 18, 2009 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Mankato. Memorial service is pending. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.

Flournoy was born on July 1, 1925 to Wenzel and Laura "Babe" (Dickmeyer) Frank in Fairfax, Minnesota. She was a 1942 graduate of Fairfax High School. She was united in marriage to Duane "Bud" Seesz on July 25, 1950 at the St. Andrew's Church Rectory in Fairfax. Flournoy worked in banking as well as bookkeeping throughout her life. She was a previous member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in LeSueur. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching sports.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Seesz of North Mankato, and Brenda (Mike) Burger of North Mankato; son Tom "Tommy" Seesz of Dundas; grandchildren, Jeremy (Andrea) Burger of Mankato, Nick (Molly) Burger of Mankato, and Bridget Burger of North Mankato; great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Holicky of Kilkenny, Brady Seesz of the Twin Cities, Mitchell Seesz of the Twin Cities, and Boomer Seesz of Northfield; great-great-grandchildren, Blake Seesz, Brady Holicky, Auston Holicky, and Maxwell Burger; brother, Gene (Betty) Frank of Phoenix, AZ; sisters-in-law, Norma Frank of LeSueur, and Rosie Seesz of Woodbury; 16 nieces and nephews.

Flournoy was preceded in death by husband, "Bud" in 1998; her parents; brother, Bruce; sister, Laura; and an infant grandson.
