Agnes R. Wilson, age 102, of Mankato died Friday, May 15, 2009 at Mankato House Health Care Center.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. Al Girtz officiating. Private burial will be in Our Saviour's Lutheran Cemetery, Butternut. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, VINE, or donor's choice.

Agnes was born May 22, 1906 in Madelia to Halvor and Cecelia (Eide) Rasmussen. She attended country school in District #12 in Blue Earth County. Agnes graduated from Madelia High School in 1925 and later attended Mankato Commercial Business College. On June 9, 1928, Agnes was united in marriage to Clifford Wilson in Madelia. In the early 1950's they moved to Lake Crystal and Agnes was employed with Meyer's Restaurant. From 1954 to 1962, Agnes cooked and managed the lunch program at the Lake Crystal School. Agnes and Clifford moved to St. Croix Falls. In 1971, Clifford died and Agnes returned to the area. She was employed from 1971 until her retirement in 1989 in the Dietary Department at Mankato Lutheran Home. Agnes was a former member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Butternut where she played organ and participated in ladies aid and sewing circle. Agnes was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Dorcas. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and card playing.

Agnes is survived by two children, Kathleen Croswell and husband, John of North Mankato, Clifford Wilson Jr. of Green Valley, Arizona; six grandchildren, Mark Croswell and wife, Sheri of North Mankato, Michael Croswell and wife, Kathleen of St. Paul, Randall Wilson and wife, Mary of Burnsville, Ross Wilson and wife, Michelle of Faribault, Ryan Wilson and wife, Dana, Reid Wilson and wife, Sandra all of Tucson, Arizona; ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; daughter, Shirley; daughter-in-law, Sharyn; two sisters, Gena Michels and Gyda Oberg; and four brothers, Albert, Sigvald, Harold, and Kenneth.
