Phyllis Ann Hermanson, age 74, of Mankato died February 18, 2013 at Oak Terrace Assisted Living, North Mankato.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Mankato. Visitation will be Monday from 4-6:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary as well as one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Tivoli Cemetery in rural Mankato.
Phyllis Ann was born May 2, 1938 to Lee and Verna (Specht) Tevis in Mason City, Iowa. Growing up she attended school and graduated from Mason City High School in 1956. Phyllis worked for many years in Mason City before moving to Mankato where she was employed at SM Supply as a bookkeeper. She later was employed at ISJ Hospital in the payroll department and at Old Country Buffet until her retirement. Following her retirement she was a volunteer at ISJ Hospital.
Phyllis was a faithful member of Hilltop Methodist Church and previously the Evangelical United Brethren Church. She was active in the Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, German Club and bridge club. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, playing cards, eating out, and her dogs, Polly and Tina Ann. She loved to have fun and her laugh was contagious. Phyllis especially cherished her friendship with Joan Lang.
Those left to cherish her memory include her special friend and her family, Joan Lang of Mankato; several cousins including: Linda Anderson of North Mankato, Nancy (Mike) Watkins of Walla Walla, WA, Larry (Pam) Woodall of Charlotte, NC, Becca Anderson of Frost, and Blaine Anderson of Northfield; her dog, Tina Ann; other extended family and friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents.
