Harold Roland Kruggel, age 92, of Good Thunder, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Mapleton Community Home.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Good Thunder, with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Good Thunder. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at NORTHVIEW " North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Harold was born May 28, 1920 to Albert and Alma (Blume) Kruggel on the family farm in rural Good Thunder. Harold was united in marriage to Viona S. Schwantes on June 30, 1948 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder.

He spent his life pouring his heart into the family farm. Harold was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, where he served as a Trustee. He loved fishing with his beloved wife, hunting, playing cards with friends, and spending time with family. He also enjoyed wintering in Lake Havasu, Arizona, going to antique tractor shows and building model cars. His stories, smiles, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Harold is survived by one son, Ronnie and his wife, Diane of Good Thunder; five grandchildren, Jamie (Mike) Frank of Good Thunder, Jason (Dorinda) Kruggel of Garden City, Jon Kruggel, Jesse Kruggel, and Jodi Kruggel all of Good Thunder; three great-grandchildren, Alexa and Jocelyn Frank and Liam Kruggel; sister, Sylvia Wendt of Litchfield; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife, Viona on November 28, 2004.
