Maryce was born February 26, 1927 to William E. and Eldora C. (Ascheman) Haugh in rural Easton, MN. As the oldest daughter of thirteen children, she developed her child care skills early on. She graduated from Delavan in 1943 and went on to Mankato Commercial College. She was employed at Pierce's Department Store in Mankato prior to her marriage to William "Bill" Murry on November 22, 1947 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, MN.
Maryce and Bill made their home in Delavan. In addition to raising their seven children, she worked as the City Clerk in Delavan for over thirty two years. Maryce was active in countless civic, religious, political and school related organizations. She was the consummate "go to" person when something needed to be done.

Maryce's Catholic faith was extremely important to her. She was a longtime member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Delavan. She passed her love of God and Church to her family not only in what she said but also in the way she lived her life.

Maryce and her husband, Bill, enjoyed many hobbies together. They were fabulous dancers, enjoyed golf, cards, and any sporting or musical event their children or grandchildren were involved in. Maryce was known for her hospitality. She was a superb cook and she loved having guests. She was also a skilled seamstress.

Maryce is survived by her children, Mike (Laurel) Murry of Robbinsdale, Chuck (Sara) Murry of Winnebago, Tim (Connie) Murry of North Mankato, Rich (Dana) Murry of Mankato, Phil (Debbie) Murry of LeCenter, and Joan (Don) Wesely of Eagle Lake; son-in law, Jerry Hauer of Buffalo; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; siblings, LeRoy (Marilyn) Haugh of Arlington, VA, Evelyn (Neal) Wallace of Vernon Center, Margaret Wombacher of Fort Collins, CO, Rita Haugh of Winona, Charles (Eileen) Haugh of Winona, Howard (Nicole) Haugh of Mankato, Ann (Allan) Rath of Mankato, Katy (James) Eiselt of Madelia; sisters-in-law Pat Haugh of Albert Lea, Janet Haugh of St Paul and Irma Haugh of Easton; brother-in-law, Jim (Mary) Murry of Delavan and many extended family.

Maryce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill in 2009; daughter, Judy in 2009; three brothers, Harold, Ray and Bill, and sister, Sister Eileen Haugh OSF; brother-in-law, Karl Wombacher; and niece, Cathy Murry.

Maryce's nurturing, loving nature was the backbone of the strong family bond we have held throughout our lives. She will be sadly missed.
