Jeffrey J. Bauman, age 56, of Mankato, died on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Laurel's Peak in Mankato.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Rev. Steve Kidder officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Decoria Cemetery. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jeff was born on June 3, 1955 in Fort Dodge, IA to Arvid and Phyllis (Hamer) Bauman. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in Eagle Grove, IA in 1974. Jeff graduated from Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, IA. Jeff served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. Jeff enjoyed fishing, vegetable gardening, and watching the Twins and Vikings. He enjoyed helping out with Sunday School.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Mary Kuch of Mankato; daughters, Sam Bauman of Mankato and Lea Marie Creese of Perry, IA; grandson, Gabriel Creese of Perry, IA; mother, Phyllis Bauman of Eagle Grove, IA; brothers, Greg (Mary) of Illinois and Neal of Texas; sister, Annette (Brad) Barrett of Ames, IA; mother-in-law, Mary Curtis of Mankato; sister-in-law, Teresa Curtis and special friend Brett Bear of Waseca; brothers-in-law, Harold Curtis of Janesville and Bill Curtis of Isle, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arvid, father-in-law, Harold, grandparents, and two nephews, John Bauman and Andrew Barrett.
