Rural St. Clair homemaker, Eva M. (Grams) Hodapp, age 92, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Clair, with Rev. Syl Brown officiating. Burial is in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. on Sunday (TODAY) at Mankato Mortuary, with a 2 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospice Program or the donor's choice.
Mrs. Hodapp was born on January 9, 1917 to William and Julia (Hoehn) Grams in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County. She attended St. Clair School and was united in marriage to Alfred Hodapp on October 25, 1939 in St. Clair. She was a lifelong homemaker in the St. Clair area and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Her interests included cooking, gardening, and tatting.
Mrs. Hodapp is survived by her four sons, Joseph and his wife, Linda, Stanley and his wife, Lien, all of rural St. Clair, Alfred Jr. "Fred" of Grand Marais, and Francis and his wife, Marian of Madison Lake; four grandchildren, Benjamin and his wife, Dana of Coon Rapids, Miranda of Mankato, Andrea of Wauwatosa, WI, and Natalie of rural St. Clair; three sisters, Gertrude Goodrich of Mapleton, Alice Hodapp of Mankato, and Marion Hinton of Jackson; two brothers and their wives, Carl and Marie Grams of New Ulm and Robert and Helen Grams of Hampton; also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred in 1999; one sister, Laura; three brothers, Walter, William, and John in infancy.
