Betty Mae Lamecker, age 74, of Elysian and Mesa, AZ died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2007 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Elysian with Rev. Don Rauscher officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian. Visitation will be held two hours before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to an organization of the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Betty was born November 29, 1932 to James F. and Erna O. (Peterman) Roberts in Sleepy Eye, MN. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1950. Betty attended Mankato Teachers College and the Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, MN. She was united in marriage to Robert A. Lamecker on June 27, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye. She was a homemaker for her family. Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, card games, crafts, and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by four children, Dennis Lamecker and wife, Dorothy of Skiatook, OK, Lynne Boeck and husband, Dave of Elysian, Jim Lamecker and wife, Ann of Apache Junction, AZ, Lisa Johnson and husband, Daryl of St. Ansgar, IA; five grandchildren; faithful friend, Boyd Rasmussen of Oakdale; three siblings, Bill Roberts and wife, Grace of Elysian, Mary Dagner and husband, Ed of New Ulm, Michael Roberts and wife, Gayle of Shakopee; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert on November 28, 2000.
