Betty Elizabeth Homer, age 54, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 as the result of an automobile accident near Waterville.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Mankato Mortuary. Memorials are preferred to the Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society.
Betty Elizabeth was born August 15, 1952 to Harvey and Dorothy (Claridge) Freundl in Mankato, MN. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1970. Betty married the love of her life, Terry G. Homer, on February 23, 1973 at Belgrade United Methodist Church, North Mankato. She was a homemaker in North Mankato, who loved spending time with her grandson, gardening, and taking care of pets: Aspen, Bailey, Haley, and Molly.
Betty is survived by her husband, Terry of North Mankato; two daughters, Mindy (Mark) Bartell of North Mankato and Kelly Homer (Tait Johnson) of Mankato; one grandson, Perry Bartell; parents, Harvey and Dorothy Freundl of Mankato; six sisters, Mary Menken of Mankato, Judy Danberry of Mankato, Theresa Chatleain of North Mankato, Helen (Gerald) Myking of North Mankato, Nina (Tom) Klingel of Mankato, and Donna Freundl (Mike) of Madison Lake; mother-in-law, Beverlee Clifton of North Mankato; three brothers-in-law, Bob (Pam) Homer of North Mankato, Chuck (Becky) Homer of North Mankato, and Bill (Lou) Homer of Mankato; sister-in-law, Vickie (Gil) Padilla of Eau Claire, WI; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her grandparents, and father-in-law, Walter Homer.
