Gail A Burgess

Gail Ann Burgess, age 63, of Mankato, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato after a courageous battle with ALS.

A memorial mass will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2007 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Rev. Neal Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to ISJ Hospice.

Gail was born on October 24, 1943 in St. Paul. She was the daughter of Bennie and Margaret (Schroeder) Strom. Gail was a teacher from 1965 to 2006, with the last 14 years at South Central College in North Mankato. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma where she was a past president, and also the American Math Association of Two Year Colleges.

Gail is survived by her son, David Burgess and his wife, Molly of Mankato; three grandchildren, Andrew, Alissa, and Logan Burgess; brother, Eric Strom and his wife, Ann Marie of Eastern Passage, NS, Canada; sister, Claudia Erickson of Billings, MT.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
