Patricia Marion Zastrow, age 82, of Truman, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Vernon Center with Rev. Tim Biren officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Truman. Visitation will be from 5"8 p.m, Monday at Lake Crystal Mortuary with a 4:45 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour before service at the church on Tuesday.
Patricia was born February 7, 1925 to Patrick and Theresa (Lodes) McMullen in Madelia. She was baptized May 31, 1925 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madelia. She attended Madelia Schools. Patricia was united in marriage to Vernon Leroy Peterson on November 20, 1943 in Madelia. They both worked in Mankato for many years and farmed. Vernon died September 11, 1969 in a work related accident. Patricia married Wilbert Zastrow on January 13, 1973 in Truman. She had worked at MidTex in Mankato and for Zastrow Campers. She enjoyed good times spent at their lake home in Richmond and for 30 years she enjoyed wintering in Mesa, Arizona. Patricia enjoyed golfing, painting, quilting, and crafts. She entered the Lutheran Retirement Home on July 15, 2005.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Wilbert of Truman; two sons, Vernon Gayle "Pete" (Rita) Peterson of Garden City, Gary (Trish) Peterson of Amboy; two step-daughters, Julaine Riewe of Amboy, MarLeone (Steve) Williamson of Trimont; eleven grandchildren, Tami, Kristine, and Terry Peterson, Gary J. (Kelly) Peterson, Jenny Wright, Jamie and Joey Peterson, Molly (Adam) Wenzel, Shelly Peterson, Christina (Dustin) Steward, Patrick Thorson; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, Rhonda Salkin, Jennifer (Carlos) Neiro, Jesse (Katharine) Riewe, Ryan Riewe, Jamie (Debbie) Williamson, Justin (Jill) Williamson, and Stephanie (Mark) Wohlhuter; eleven step-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon; three brothers, Virgil, Don, and Bob; sister, Phyllis; step-son-in-law, Roger Riewe; step grandson, Rodney Riewe.
