Alfred H Kimpton

Alfred Henry Kimpton, age 76 of Mankato, died Thursday, June 14, 2007 in the loving care of the staff at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday at Beauford United Methodist Church with Rev. Laurie Boche officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Beauford. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Alfred Kimpton was born April 13, 1931 to William H. and Rosa (Schultz) Kimpton in Beauford Township. In his early years he farmed with his dad and then worked on the Bud Wettergren farm. He also worked for the Art Kost parking ramp and at Weimert Waste Company and did odd jobs. He liked to bowl and fish and go on vacation.

Alfred is survived by his twin sister, Martha Arndt of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Susan (Mrs. Carl) Kimpton of Oregon; nieces and nephews; many relatives and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Kimpton; brother-in-law, Dale Arndt; niece, Jeni Flohrs; nephew, Greg Arndt.
